Matibabu ya kimwili
Jeshi la Marekani linapima uwezo wa kimwili kupitia Mtihani wa Fitness Fitness , au APFT, ambayo inahitaji askari kukamilisha matukio matatu: dakika mbili za kushinikiza, dakika mbili za kukaa, na kukimbia kwa kilomita mbili.
Kupiga kura kwenye APFT inategemea kiwanja cha umri, jinsia, idadi ya kurudia iliyofanywa kwa kushinikiza na kukaa, na wakati wa kukimbia. Matokeo ya kila tukio huanzia 0 hadi 100 pointi. Askari wanahitaji alama angalau 60 kupitisha mtihani.
Viwango vya APFT inaweza kuwa kali kwa vitengo maalum vya kusudi.
Matokeo ya 270 au juu juu ya APFT - na alama ya chini ya 90 katika kila tukio - kupata askari Biba ya Fitness Fitness .
Hata hivyo, mtihani huu umekataliwa sana kwa kutosha kupima nguvu na uvumilivu. Kwa sababu hiyo, mwaka 2011 Jeshi lilijaribu Jeshi la Kujiandaa kimwili la Jeshi (APRT) kwa askari zaidi ya 10,000 lakini hatimaye aliamua kushikamana na mtihani wa APFT.
Wakati mtihani wa APFT bado unatumiwa, chati zifuatazo zinaonyesha idadi ya marudio na alama zinazohitajika kwa wanaume wenye umri wa miaka 42 hadi 46 ili kupitisha mtihani.

Uchunguzi wa kijinsia wa kijinsia
Wakati Jeshi la Marekani liko katika mchakato wa kupima vipimo vya ujinsia wa kijinsia, kuna mpango wa kuongezea wanawake katika maalum ya kazi ya kijeshi ya awali. Lakini kama inasimama wakati wa kuandika kwa makala hii, vipimo vya kijinsia-neutral bado vinahitaji idhini ya Idhini ya Ulinzi.
Kulingana na Jeshi la Marekani, majaribio mapya yanayotengenezwa yanaweza kuingiza mazoezi ambayo askari watahitaji kwenye uwanja wa vita, ambao utahusisha ujuzi wa kijinsia na wasio na nia.
Mtihani wa Matumizi ya Kimwili (OPAT) ni wa kijinsia mtihani unaojumuisha kuruka kwa muda mrefu, kuruka kwa muda mrefu, kukimbia kwa muda wa aerobic, na "kutupa nguvu kutulia," ambayo ni "kupima kwa nguvu ya juu ya mwili ambayo inawakilisha upakiaji risasi," kulingana na US Army Times.
Maelezo mengine juu ya mtihani, ambayo bado yanaendelea, ni pamoja na yafuatayo:
- Kupiga kura kwa kila tukio halijawahi kuamua, lakini tofauti na APFT, mipangilio inaita kwa mfumo mmoja kwa miaka yote na waume.
- MOS itawekwa katika mfumo wa tatu-tier. Wanaojumuisha na alama ambazo hazipunguki na Mfumo wa 1 (high-demand) katika tukio fulani, haitastahili sifa maalum katika sehemu hiyo.
- Waajiri wanapaswa kufikia viwango vya 3 vilivyojiunga na Jeshi.
- Vipimo vya upya vinaruhusiwa na muafaka wa muda na mipaka kwa idadi ya vipimo vinavyotakiwa.
- Kama APFT, OPAT inaweza kusimamiwa moja kwa moja au katika kikundi cha kikundi.
